Youth practice in organic agtriculture and ecotourism - FINISHED UP

Main Goal:
Increase the quality of professional preparation to the level to the EU standards

Sub Goals:
Create a variety of conditions and prerequisites for innovations in the professional schools;

Increase thew possibilities of young people to adapt to the labor market and to start their own businesses;

Geographic mobility and getting in touch with new culture

Content and Encompass of the Project:
About 20 students participate in the project from the professional schools in Lovech, Gabrovo and Targoviste Districts.

They practices in Italy and in Great Britain. Thirteen of them were in Great Britain for 6 weeks to patricipate in various activities together with young people from several European countries. They did mountain hut constructions, worked in organic farms, made tourist trails, and they were trained in different outdoor activities.

Another seven of the students were in a bioplogical farm in Italy. They were able to learn about the rules of organic farming and production as well as agro tourism.

Partners of association "Balkan Assist":
Balkan Assist is the project initiator and works in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce in Targoviste and the Regional Tourism Association "Stara Planina" in Gabrovo. Our long-term partner Grampus Heritage and Training hosted the group in Great Britain and the Patrice and Alexandra Niclas were the hosts in Patrice Fattoria Biologica in Italy.
