Introduce European know-how to the management of SME from the knitwear industry in the Gabrovo region - FINISHED UP

A project of Balkan Assist funded by the Leonardo da Vinci Program of the EU, 2003

Main Goal:
Managers and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises from the knitwear industry in the region of Gabrovo acquire some foreign experience and know-how in order to stimulate the development of their companies as well as improve the quality and the design of their products.

Sub Goals:
The project implementation enables nine young SME managers and owners:

- Improve their management skills;

- Explore possibilities and know-how for development and application of new technologies and materials in textile industry;
- Establish new useful contacts that can further become successful partnerships;

- Improve the language skills of the participants.

Content and Encompass of the Project:
The program includes a six-week exchange for SME owners and managers aimed at studying the basic achievements of such enterprises in Spain. Work meetings for management skill improvement, visits to technical and commercial fairs, elaboration of marketing strategies and language training.

The project implementation brings about stimulating the investments in human resources in the small and medium-sized enterprises in the area of knitwear industry in the Region of Gabrovo.

Partners of association "Balkan Assist":
In this project the partners of Balkan Assist are the following: Gabrovo Chamber of Commerce and Cordoba Academy, Spain. Our supporting partner is the Regional Administration – Gabrovo.
