Balkan Assist became a partner to Democracy International

The international network was established in 2004 by several European organisations to support the strengthening and improvement of (direct) democracy in Europe and in the world plan. Its main goal is the implementation of direct democracy (initiative and referendum) at the EU level and in the states as a complement to representative democracy. Democracy International also works on development and improvement of democratic decision-making practices at both national and European levels.
