ASSOCIATION FOR PARTNERSHIP AND CITIZEN ACTIVITY SUPPORT

"Balkan Assist" is a Bulgarian non-for-profit association established in 2000 uniting individuals and organizations working for the development of the civil society. A part of the members are direct participants in the Program for Cooperation with the municipalities in Central Stara planina which the Swiss government has been implementing since 1992.

Mission: Balkan Assist Association stimulates and supports direct citizen participation at local and central level by implementing initiatives and projects in partnership with community groups, organizations and institutions.

The projects of the Association are mainly directed at direct citizen participation in decision making at local, regional and central level.

Vision:

Balkan Assist is an initiator and esteemed partner to national and international organizations for the implementation of projects and program supporting local and regional initiatives.
Balkan Assist members are a recognized team of highly qualified specialists making their contribution to the prosperity of Bulgaria and the Balkans and for their integration to the European community.
Balkan Assist is a prominent member of the international networks of organizations working for the sustainable development of society and its structures.
